When I was trying to cut some of my household costs after we bought our house, I noticed that some of our magazine subscription rates were high, so I looked them up on Amazon to see if they were any cheaper.  It turned out that I had been paying more than the Amazon rates on a lot of them.  I couldn’t believe that I had not realized this sooner, because I use Amazon all the time, but I had never thought about subscribing though them.  So I canceled the subscriptions (most publishers will refund for the remaining copies you have on your subscription), and resubscribed on Amazon.  Another good thing is that Amazon will notify you when your subscription is up.
