There's a wonderful spray park with big boulders and fine spray in front of the Harvard University Science Center, just 100 yards from the Harvard Museum of Natural History with 500 'stuffed animals', thousands of gems, minerals & meteorites. On Tuesday afternoons in the summer they have a farmers market next to the spray park...And all reachable with a 6 minute walk from the Harvard Square T stop (or 3/4 mile from Porter Square commuter rail stop). The museum has directions at http://www.hmnh.harvard.edu />
Spray pools/parks are popping up everywhere. For those of you near 495/290, the Town of Hudson will be completing their South Street Park this spring which includes a new spray park and playground. As far as I know, it will be open to non-residents, too.
Thanks! I never knew the Stoneham pool was open to non-residents. Also, I didn't realize Walden Pond was so easy to get to. I'll be at both this summer!
