The sitter is booked, and you and your spouse are looking forward to a nice, adult-oriented meal out on the town - but where to go? When we are in the mood for Indian food, we head for the Clay Pit. The restaurant is beautiful, with brick walls and a sophisticated feel - perfect for enjoying a kid-free night out. The food is great - a self-proclaimed "contemporary" take on classic Indian cuisine. Traditional items are executed well, including the mixed Tandoori grill, with lamb, beef and chicken - all flavorful and moist. We have a hard time choosing between the tikka masala and vindaloo sauces, but we always manage to get something with their FABULOUS korma sauce - here's how they describe it: "Sinfully rich cashew-almond-pistachio cream sauce with garlic, shredded coconut & a touch of lemon." Yum! Less traditional dishes like coriander calamari are also recommended.
