Although buffets are not usually the kind of place I frequent, Buffet Palace has a great selection of fresh and varied offerings, and it is my little boy's favorite place to go! It is so casual - the kind of place you can go in flip flops after swim lessons, but the food, a pan-asian tour of flavors and preparations, is really very good. They usually have quite a number of sushi offerings - rolls and nigiri, with wasabi and pickled radish. They have soups (spicy seafood is great), salads (korean japchae noodle salad, spinach salad with sesame dressing, asian caesar), noodles, rice, teriyaki chicken, grilled veggies, crawfish, dynamite mussels, tempura, spring rolls, cocktail shrimp ...more than I have ever been able to explore. My son loves getting to choose his own selections (pan-fried dumplings, tamago sushi and sauteed green beans usually), and then getting to pick his extra special dessert treat - soft serve ice cream, peach cobbler, and a spread of cakes and cookies that give me a sugar rush just looking at them. Fun, cheap, healthy!
