We just picked our own strawberries at a local farm and they were the best tasting strawberries we have ever eaten.  Which leads me to believe that picking your own fruits & vegetables is not only fun but it's really much tastier in most cases!  I found this directory where you can search for pick your own farms near you.   You can search my locality or by the type of produce you are looking for.  (Pumpkins, blueberries, strawberries, apples, peaches, corn, etc...).
