| +3 | MA ParksPass: Great Deal for Summer Fun |
If you're planning on visiting many of Massachusetts' parks, beaches, ponds and spray parks this summer, consider buying a MA ParksPass. A ParksPass is an annual pass that provides unlimited day-use parking access to state park facilities within the DCR that charge a parking fee, with the exception of Nahant and Nantasket Beaches. It only costs $35 for MA residents and many beaches charge $7 to park, so it will pay for itself if you go to the beach only 5 times! The list of park facilities and beaches accepting the ParksPass is available at the website above. This pass would work well if your kids are participating in the Park Passport program! And if you're just not sure if you'll visit enough times, be sure to check your public library to see if they have a ParksPass available through their museum pass program. If they do, you can borrow the ParksPass for free only when you need it! Find out if your library participates here. Many town Recreation departments participate too - see that list here.
