 This article is really interesting, it's about stay-at-home moms and the money pinch they are experiencing with higher gas prices and such. I never even thought that as a SAHM, we do a lot more outside activities to stay sane, but now with gas prices so high, it's easier to stay home with the kids - but what about our sanity? I can relate to this article and agree with the sanity aspect. One has to have adult contact! Over two years ago, I started shopping with an online company that ships environmentally-friendly household consumable products. It has worked out extremely well with regards to saving money and time. (Plus I love getting things in the mail!) I decided to make it my home-based business while staying home with the kids. Now I have lots of adult interaction, flexibility to take care of my children at home and I get paid.
This article did remind me of staying with my grandparents. My grandmother set aside one day per week to go into town for her shopping. With rising gas prices, we're getting back to that mindset.
