The Children’s Orchard is a chain of retail stores that buy and sell gently worn children’s clothing from newborn to size 12. They also carry baby items, furniture and toys. They have multiple locations in MA and other states, so check out the link above for locations. I love it because I can bring in a load of clothing, get cash or credit for the items, and then find excellent in-season clothing for my four year old. Some of the great finds I have had are dresses from Gymboree, Laura Ashley, Land’s End, and The Rugged Bear, for around $5 to $10 each, and a gorgeous faux shearling coat from Gymboree for $17, which is a fraction of the original cost. The best part is that the clothing is from top brands and in superb condition, and no one ever guesses that it has been worn before.
