Warning to all dog lovers!! The dog in this story is my neice's friend's dog, so I know it is not a hoax. The dog had a life-threatening injury due to a type of toy many of us have in the house: a ball or toy with one hole, in which the dog's tongue can get caught, and no second hole which would release the vaccuum effect. Before you read the story here are two things to know: the toy company has already recalled the toys, so you don't need to send the boycott email, and the story is very graphic and upsetting, so viewer discrection is advised. If you choose not to read it, the crux of the story is the dog ended up with tremendous pain and suffering, needed his tongue amputated, needs medical care around the clock, and has to relearn how to eat, drink and play.
