This is a great place to visit on the weekend.  The point Sur Lightstation sits on a 361 ft high rock on the edge of the mighty Pacific Ocean.  The three hour tour took me and my family through history and offered a unique view of the majestic Big Sur coast.  For 119 years the lighthouse has kept watch for mariners and their stories were brought to life by the docents. They offer daytime tours, moonlight tours and, most recently they added, Halloween tours.  Were going back for that.  This whole event was delightful and everyone enjoyed it immensely, the children on the tour were especially captivated by the beauty of it all.  Only 19 miles south of Carmel, CA., the Pt. Sur Lightstation, which is a California State Park, is an experience not to be missed.  An incredible deal as the tour fees are only $8 for adults and $4 for children.  What a great way to spend time with the family.
