There is a wondeful website dedicated to linking the Knit and Crochet community called Ravelry.  This is a terrific resource for finding patterns, ideas, yarns, friends, online groups and a creative inspiration.  I have joined this group and it tracks my projects in a way of a yarn journal.  I also am able to connect with other users to ask questions, learn about new techniques and find patterns.  There are photos and yarn suggestions as well. There is a waiting list to join, but it does go pretty fast, a couple of days.  Once you are on, you will be amazed at the wealth of users and the extensive network or resources.
