I put this in summer sports as the closest category, but, because of the terrific weather, this is available year round.  The Pacific Grove Municipal Golf course is the least expensive course on the Monterey Peninsula and it is truly a wonderful course to play.  For $40 for a round of 18 the back nine runs along the beautiful Pacific Ocean.  It's well maintained and the best golf deal.  The newly remodeled clubhouse/restaurant and pro-shop make this a must-do for any golfer visiting Monterey.  I saw old and young alike enjoying this treasure.
