| +5 | Dangerous Chemicals in Baby Bath Products |
Not sure if you've seen this article or an article similar (there was one in Parenting Magazine Aug 07 issue). It's scary- but easy to fix! I use Earth's Balance body wash and shampoo ($4.99) found at Wild Oats or Whole Foods. It's cheap, works well and has a very light scent. Zippers Comments
Thanks for posting! My daughter had a very bad reaction to bubble bath I used from A company that said all their products promote home wellness. After a emergency hospital visit and some Benedryll, her skin returned to normal. It took app. 8 days. I went back to using the unscented white bar soap made by Dove. I won't deter ever again. My daughter misses playing in the bubbles though. :-(
Great article...thanks for posting! I've recently switched to organic/all natural products for my family. I have one daughter with severe allergies and two other kids with minor ones. It sickens me to think about all the chemicals and toxins put in our products and foods that could potentially harm our children over time.
I recently posted a talk on my daughters UTI infection. The Chief Urologist at Tufts/Boston HIGHLY recommends NO bubbles in a bath for girls - just at the tail-end of the bath for a quick clean. I'm really at issue that these products that hit the market without thought to children's health. The infection my daughter had was so severe and heart-wrenching and now with the links to cancer...this is something we moms need to be aware of. Thanks for posting this - it's very important info!
